Yallo. I was thinking. It might not be a bad idea to divide characters into a couple of catagories, like Major and minor characters. Or if this is not suitable, then at least have a catagory for all the non speaking roles, like the marrowmatic and the creeper plant. I'm not entirely sure they really fit into the mess of other more significant talking roles, like Fester Blatz or Vohaul.

Thoughts?

Actually, yeah. I'm all for subdivision; we might also divide by species, like we've already been doing for Droids. It'll make the Character sidebar that much more helpful.

Hmm. Well, for what it's worth I've created a SQ4 Minor Characters page which might provide some ideas. But yeah, let's brainstorm this. :) --Jeysie 16:03, 19 Jun 2005 (EDT)

A species subdivision would be good, within limits. Maybe there should be four: Aliens, Droids, Humans + Creatures? Aliens would include all non-human races, and creatures could include all non-sentient type creatures, like the Orat, creeper plant, or Labion Terror Beast, or kissing alien in SQ2.

I'm not really sure if most of the creatures would exactly qualify as "characters" either, which is partly why I bring this up. It would be nice to divide them away somehow. There's also the issue or really minor roles, like the Scumsoft henchmen in SQ3, or the apes. Hence, the major, minor thing. But I wouldn't advocate having huge loads of catagories either. Would be too confusing.

The nice thing about Wikipedia is people can be in multiple categories. I'd add a Category:Minor Characters, but keep them in a catch-all characters category... That way, people can get either list they want, easily. E1ven
