That was the day when the team was assembled and the project officially launched or so. Of course, it had been quietly boiling in mailing lists and whatnot before, but that's probably the best version of a launch date we have.

The original posts were lost in a Subchan crash, IIRC. So yes, it's from memory. But I'm certain of the date. Back then I also applied for membership and kept waiting for the announcement on July 13, so it sort of stuck with me :P

In the picture of just Roger with the mop, being the representative picture that would best work, the light's too bright! We should find better pictures.
