Dorff

Apparently related in some way to Earth anteaters, Dorff is the chief security officer of the SCS Deepship 86. As he is rather near-sighted, this position presents a bit of a problem when he has to deal with long-range battles.
Dorff's name is very similar to that of Worf, the chief security officer of the Enterprise-D in Star Trek.
