The SCS Goliath is a Giant Gorilla-class warship, and the Star Confederation's flagship. With its state of the art star drive, it can travel more than 10 times the speed of light.

It was, at one time, commanded by Captain Raemes T. Quirk, and at the center of the Pukoid scandal.

Involvement in the Pukoid scandal[]

The Goliath visited the Klorox II colony sometime before stardate 3012.68 (that around 3009/10 in standard dating) and the colonists started to mutate.

Ambassador Beatrice Wankmeister was concerned about the Sludge Bandits, who dumped their waste around the G6 Quadrant, and requested the deployment of ships from the StarCon Academy. Captain Quirk insisted that she'd accompany him aboard the SCS Goliath as it patrolled the alleged dump sites.

The Goliath docked with the SpaceBar at the same time with the SCS Eureka, and one of their crewmen was involved in an altercation with the Eureka's engineer, Cliffy.

The crew was later infected by the Primordial Soup and mutated to Pukoids. When passing near Thrakus, Wankmeister sabotaged the ship by stealing the warp distributor cap, and took an Escape Pod to land on the planet.

Upon discovery of the Eureka in the Thrakus system, Goliath attacked the smaller Eureka, which caused Eureka" to take evasive action in the relative safety of the asteroid field around Thrakus. Goliath then hailed the Eureka and announced their intent to "puke out the entire galaxy, starting with StarCon."

Goliath was later located near Gingivitis. There, Roger Wilco boarded the ship, and was able to turn off its shields. He was captured, but was soon joined by WD40, who had recently been equipped with liquid nitrogen blasters, which she used to temporarily disable the Pukoids. Cliffy had also come on board, ready to use the transporter in order to isolate the Primordial Soup that had infected the crew. Quirk, however, was not lured to the transporter room, and instead he left the ship in a shuttle, which was absorbed by the floating mass of Primordial Soup that resulted from the transporter operation. The floating mass then proceeded to attack the ship, but it was saved by the actions of Wilco as captain of the SCS Eureka.

The Goliath was then returned to StarCon headquarters.
