Hmm...with those speed measurements, it should be possible to determine the length in time within the series.

The speed measurements, although all from the same article, are inconsistent. Maximum speed is 32 decades/hr, yet acceleration is 5 secs for 0-30 decades, 0-60 decades and 0-80 decades. So if you can travel 80 decades in 5 seconds, how come you can't go more than 32 decades in an hour. Also, I'm willing to bet that if you measured the amount of time it takes the timepod to get from SQ1 to SQ3, and compared it to the amount of time it takes to get from SQ1 to SQ12, it would be identical.

First of all, we can just discard 0-60 decades and 0-80 decades; those are apparently overdrive. Therefore, maximum acceleration at standard limits is 0-32 dph in 5 seconds.

On the other point, we'd test it multiple times, and the time length differences may be minimal, but would still be there.

I just can't see it taking three hours to travel one millenium. One article recommends a trip to the big bang... which was millions of years ago.

No, the speed is canonical because its included in the documentation. Just because we don't understand the fine points of Temporal Mechanics doesn't mean its wrong.

Maybe it's like warp speed, then...as you travel further, the relative time-distance decreases...

That could be true. Also, you navigate time channels when you time travel. There may not be a time channel directly between every two points in time-space. To get from SQ1 to SQ3 you may have to go via SQ6.

Then if the channels for the SQ series are limited to within the SQ series and a universal exit to other time zones, then the SQ series (1-12) must be able to be contained within two decades, given the speed restriction, with 12 more likely being somewhere near the beginning of the third decade.

Thus, we can at least approximate certain events in SQ in relation to each other and within the two decades, like such:

First decade begins - 0 Anno Astris Cursus (AC - Space Quest?)
1 AC - SQ1, Roger defeats Sariens within the timeframe of a couple of days, finishing out the year with Roger's popularity increases and diminishes
2 AC - SQ2, Roger captured by Vohaul, escapes from Labion
3 AC - SQ3, Roger saves Two Guys, voyages to Earth, gets lost
4 AC - Roger roams the Galaxy, visits the bar on Magmetheus, SQ4
5 AC - Additional travel...something happens to the Aluminum Mallarrd
6 AC - Roger joins StarCon as a cadet...SQ5
7 AC - Roger stripped of command...SQ6
8 AC - SQ7 occurs
9 AC - VSB, Roger, Jr. born
...
~15 AC - SQ10
~25 AC - SQ12


But then there's problems with Roger, Jr's age...maybe he was only 16 by SQ12.
