I was born in '88 in the small Danish town Faaborg (I'll give you a dollar if you can pronounce it correctly) and came out looking somewhat like my avatar at the forum of the website you're currently reading. I had a somewhat strange childhood where I was the weirdo everybody liked the pick on. Then as my family got a computer in '96 or so, it all became much weirder. A good old AMD K-6 166 MHz which is still functional today. Well, somewhat. It took a few years to convince my dad to get an internet connection, and eventually I succeeded.
The internet opened a whole new realm. Among the stuff I discovered was a game series called Space Quest. I later discovered I had actually played the Space Quest 6 demo with a friend without knowing what it was! Pretty weird, eh? After doing a search on Google, I found a website called Roger Wilco's Virtual Broomcloset and its forum called The Subspace Channel. I registered and posted a few very n00b-ish posts where I encouraged people to download the games illegally and stuff like that. I was, once again, the weirdo who everybody liked to pick on.
It was about then I got the idea of Space Quest: Vohaul Strikes Back, which was inspired by/a rip-off of the Terminator series. I posted the idea at the forum - the original thread still exists at the address http://wiw.org/~jess/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2499 - and soon found the first teammate, a guy who called himself Waffler. Other teammates followed and the rest is history.
